Jeff Cobb Returns To NJPW

Jeff Cobb is back in NJPW.

There was a six-man tag team match during the NJPW G1 Climax 36 final event on August 16th. The bout saw Unbound Company (Yuto-Ice, OSKAR & Daiki Nagai) versus United Empire (Great-O-Khan, HENARE & Callum Newman).

Newman secured the pinfall victory over Nagai to give his team the win, but the two sides continued to brawl after the bell rang. Newman was left in the ring with Nagai, so Unbound Company’s Gedo stepped in to stop the attack.

Gedo went on to bring out Jeff Cobb. Cobb, who is a United Empire alumnus, stood across from Newman as Newman wanted him to show that he was still riding with United Empire. Cobb proceeded to attack Newman. Cobb then officially joined Unbound Company.

Cobb was last in New Japan back in April 2025. He wrestled Hiroshi Tanahashi in what was billed as Cobb’s last match with the company before he joined WWE. Cobb was let go from WWE in April 2026.
