Rey Fenix Appears On 8/18 WWE NXT

Rey Fenix appeared in the opening segment.

Kicking off the August 18th episode of NXT on The CW was Cruz Montana. He was there to address new WWE signee Zilla Fatu, who crashed the number one contenders main event that Montana and Grayson Waller were competing in on the 8/11 show.

A producer informed Montana that Zilla was not in the building, but showing up during the segment was AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix.

Montana brought up the history between himself and Fenix and gave him props for how he represents Latino culture.

Fenix was present because the opening match was a Fatal 4-Way to determine who will be challenging him for the World Cruiserweight Title on the August 25th NXT.

Fenix is also competing in the tournament to determine the challenger to Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Title on the 9/14 Monday Night Raw in Mexico City, Mexico.
