Alex Windsor On Facing Divine Dominion At AEW All In: I Think Everyone Is Just Waiting To See Us All Clash Together
Alex Windsor is ready to get her hands on Megan Bayne and Lena Kross.
AEW All In London will feature a match for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships, as Bayne and Kross will defend the belts against the Brawling Birds duo of Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Windsor said that she can’t wait to engage in an absolute fight with Divine Dominion at All In.
“Honestly, I consider myself very much a singles wrestler and I’m sure Jamie does as well. But I think when we first found out we were tagging together, I think we were both just like, ‘Oh, my God, yes.” The amount of ideas that just sprung off the back of it, even just being paired together and I think now that we have that sort of attention and the buildup of the match, I think everyone is just sort of waiting to see us all clash together. ‘Cause we first properly wrestled with the Divine Dominion in that match in Mexico. So I think that’s just added to that tension of when we finally properly get our hands on each other at Wembley. [I] can’t wait. It’s going to be, like I said, it’s going to be an absolute fight. It’s going to be a brawl to the end. So very much looking forward to it.”
Windsor proceeded to talk about the tension that exists between the Brawling Birds and Divine Dominion.
“It was sort of like we were in our different universes. So we didn’t acknowledge them, they didn’t
acknowledge us. But I think that just added to it because it wasn’t something that was sort of left
questioning, ‘Oh, when are they going to have this match?’ Because we were focused on doing our thing,
they were focused on doing theirs. Then the minute that we did have any attention on each other, it’s just
built and built and built, in not a very large amount of time either. So I think it’s worked out really well
’cause we have built up that tension and we’re just over a week away now.”
To round out the topic, Windsor talked about how it feels to make her debut in Wembley Stadium.
“Obviously it’s an absolute dream because I’ve only got to go down the road and normally I’m jet lagged.
I’ve been traveling for days on end, so it’s nice to just be like, ‘I’m just gonna get in my car, go to
Wembley,’ but honestly it’s somewhere I would never even think or dream of ever wrestling. Knowing that
it’s literally 10 days away now is extremely daunting, but on the other hand, it’s meant to be and the fact
that I get to share it with Jamie, the fact that Will is also going into such an important match, it just makes it even more special. I think the nerves, the stress and everything else that will probably go into that day, it will be so worth it.”
