Deonna Purrazzo Reveals She Had An Asthma Attack During 2024 CMLL Match

In December 2024, AEW talent Deonna Purrazzo traveled to CMLL to take on La Catalina as part of the AEW-CMLL partnership.

The match was generally poorly received by fans, and Purrazzo’s role on AEW TV was decreased following the bout. She last wrestled on AEW programming in February 2025, but has found a home in ROH where she is the reigning Women’s Pure Champion.

On social media, Purrazzo responded to a comment comparing Eddie Kingston’s outing in CMLL on Friday to her bout nearly two years ago, revealing she suffered an asthma attack in the match.

Purrazzo last competed at ROH Death Before Dishonor, retaining the Women’s Pure Title against Steph De Lander.
