Alex Windsor Says She Hoped Someone Would Stop Will Ospreay From Doing The Spanish Fly Off The Cage At AEW Revolution 2025

Alex Windsor hoped someone would stop Will Ospreay from doing the Spanish Fly off the cage against Kyle Fletcher.

At AEW Revolution 2025, Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher had a Steel Cage match. There was a spot during this fight where Ospreay delivered a Spanish Fly to Fletcher from the top of the cage.

Speaking with SHAK Wrestling, Alex Windsor was asked if there were any spots she talked Ospreay out of. While she never talked him down from that, she did hope someone would talk Ospreay out of doing the Spanish Fly spot.

“I don’t think there’s anything I’ve talked him down from. I think the thing that I was just hoping someone else would have talked him down for is when he had the match with Kyle [Fletcher], the cage match. They did the Spanish fly off the top of it. I remember him telling me. As soon as he told me, I remember thinking, ‘There’s no way.’ Well at first it was, ‘Who in their right mind would want to do that?’ Then he even told me beforehand, because I didn’t go to that show with him, I remember him telling me like Christopher Daniels had said, ‘I don’t know if you’d be able to physically do that.’ Because I just think it’s one thing me telling him. Of course, I’m going to say that because I’m his partner. I’m always on the air of caution. But when you have agents at the show telling you, ‘I don’t know if that’s a good idea.’ I was just thinking, ‘Okay, maybe they won’t do it.’ He didn’t tell me whether he was actually going to do it. I was at my friend’s house at the time and we all stayed up and watched it together. I saw the setup and I was thinking, They’re going to do it, aren’t they?’ It’s one of them things where I was like, I didn’t want to look. But I said, ‘I have to look to make sure they both landed safely.’ Of course they pulled it off. …. But in terms of talking him down from things, I’ve never been successful with it. I’ve learned not to.”
