Swerve Strickland Says It ‘Meant A Lot To Him’ To Feature As Part Of Will Ospreay’s AEW All In Entrance

Swerve Strickland comments on featuring as part of Will Ospreay’s AEW All In entrance, noting what it meant to him.

At AEW All In on Sunday, Will Ospreay would have a special entrance, as a camera tracked him backstage, where he would be flanked by his United Empire stablemates and walk past several of his old rivals in Zack Sabre Jr, Michael Oku, Ricochet and Swerve Strickland.

While speaking to Richa Latta following AEW All In, Swerve Strickland would discuss being a part of Will Ospreay’s entrance, noting that it meant a lot to him.

“That’s the kind of thing where it’s like, you don’t get as far as we do to the top level without help. You don’t do it by yourself, somebody helped bring you up along the way, whether it’s your enemy, whether it’s your friend, whether it’s like he beat you down till he got there or you beat them down and they help level you up and you like kind of catapulted that for their momentum, and I feel like that’s the synonymous visual of like all these guys, and for me to be like one of those last big obstacles in his career, such a like infamous career that Will’s had, probably one of the greatest wrestling careers when it’s all said and done ever for me, to be an important piece of that for him at that stage, while he’s like still ascending, still on the ascent, means a lot to me, and it means I’ve done a great job being one of those guys for him. As he’s done for me when I was working to make it to the top without somebody else helping you out.”
