Dark Silueta: It’s Incredible To Have This Blend Of Japanese And Mexican Wrestlers Learning Each Other’s Styles

Dark Silueta discusses the blend of having Japanese and Mexcian wrestlers learn from each other’s styles in the ring.

Wrestling in Mexico and Japan always shared a link, with CMLL and NJPW working together in modern times, beginning their partnership in 2009. For one CMLL name, the relationship is one that leads to an interesting blend of styles.

While speaking to Fightful’s Luis Pulido in a new interview, Dark Silueta spoke about the blend of styles that comes from talent in Mexico and Japan learning from one another.

“Well, look, the collaboration and partnerships that the World Wrestling Council has always forged with other companies are always great. Having Japanese wrestlers come to learn Mexican wrestling and having several Mexicans go to learn Japanese wrestling is an incredible blend of wrestling cultures, because we know that wrestling is universal. There are several styles: Japanese wrestling, or puroresu; American wrestling; and purely Mexican wrestling. It’s a blend of them all, and honestly, whoever has the opportunity to experience them all becomes a truly well-rounded wrestler. It’s incredible to have this blend.”
