Tommaso Ciampa shares a video of his daughter Willow’s birthday entrance that she did prior to the AEW All Out pay-per-view.
At the pay-per-view at the end of last month, Ciampa would face off with Kazuchika Okada for the AEW International Championship in a moment that would coincide with Ciampa’s daughter Willow’s birthday. Willow would feature during the match, as Okada would taunt and bait Willow by flipping her off. After getting permission from her mother, Willow would reply with a double bird flip, much to the frustration of Okada in the moment. Okada however would go on to retain his championship over Ciampa, but Willow did get the chance to receive another birthday present from AEW before the show.
In a new social media post on Sunday, Tommaso Ciampa would take to social media to share a clip where Willow got the chance to run through her father’s wrestling entrance before the show. You can check out the video, along with Tommaso’s caption, below.
“One final clip from Willow’s birthday in Chicago. During the day, our production crew asked Willow if she could “stand in for daddy’s entrance” while they tested the cameras. Then, they transitioned “My Shadow Knows My Story” into “Happy Birthday” with lower third graphics and all. After 22 years in wrestling, it’s impossible to pick one favorite match. But for the last few years, I’ve always pointed at Takeover New Orleans as one of my favorite experiences (it still is)… but it’s safe to say that All Out Chicago has moved into first place. Never in a million years did I envision a sold out crowd chanting happy birthday to my 8 year old in the midst of a match vs Okada. The match and the moments that the entire day created (some amazing photos that I’m sure I’ll share one day… maybe in the book) are memories that I’ll cherish forever.”
