Booker T Confirms He Trained Travis Scott, Doesn’t Think The Timing Was Right For Him

Travis Scott was heavily involved in the WrestleMania 41 main event, helping John Cena defeat Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Plans seemed to be in place for Scott to wrestle at some point, but he never stepped foot in the ring.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T confirmed his hand in training Scott.
“Just didn’t work out. That’s all. Yeah, I did work with Travis. I see a lot of guys like Logan Paul, Bad Bunny, iShowSpeed, Lil Yachty, and they come in and do a lot of things. A lot of times, it’s for them, but it’s not for everybody. With Travis Scott, this guy has so much work, he’s doing this, that, and then he’s trying to do [wrestling], I think that’s what it was more than anything. After working with him a couple of times, I could see that he could perform the work; I saw it with my own eyes, but the timing put into this, compared to every other project he had going on, as well as his music, I don’t think the time was right,” he said.
It is unknown if Scott will ever return to WWE TV.
Elsewhere during the interview, Booker said that he was supposed to team with Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37. You can find his full comments here.
