Tatum Paxley Would Love To Interact With New Version Of Lyra Valkyria, Feels She Owes So Much Of Her Career To NXT Storyline With Valkyria

Tatum Paxley looks back fondly on her time with Lyra Valkyria.

There was a period of time on WWE NXT programming when Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley were tied at the hip. Their dynamic went through several ups and downs and even saw Valkyria come back to NXT to assist Paxley.

While guest appearing on Off The Ropes, Paxley spoke about the new version of Valkyria that is featured on Monday Night Raw. Paxley said she’d love to interact with the new Valkyria.

“I knew she had it in her. That’s exactly why it was her all along. That’s why she had my heart. I just knew that she had this little quirk to her. I just knew it, okay? I love every second of it. I would love to have a long playdate with this Lyra Valkyria and get to know her. Because I just feel like it was in her this whole time, and I couldn’t get it out. But now that it’s out there, oh my gosh, I would love to just have a long sit-down with her.”

Paxley continued speaking about her history with Valkyria. She looked back on when Valkyria came back to NXT to save her. Paxley said she cried when she first learned of the plans. She added that she owes so much of her career to that NXT run with Lyra.

“Oh my gosh. I won the Battle Royal to go against Jacy Jayne to get to the title and it was one of my first big wins of my career, and we hadn’t seen Tatum and Lyra (Valkyria) together for a while and I’m not even kidding you, when they told me Lyra was coming back for that episode, I cried. Picturing the moment of her running out after the win really warmed my heart. I owe so much of my career and where I am right now to that storyline that I had with her, and even of getting goosebumps just talking about it and talking about her. But yeah, I remember the feeling. I think she was actually the one who told me. She was like, ‘Hey. You know what you’re doing on Tuesday?’ I was like, ‘No,’ and she’s like, ‘Well, I think I’m gonna be coming to see you,’ and I was just so overjoyed, tearing up. It was beautiful, beautiful.”

Paxley is now on the main roster and is currently one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Alexa Bliss.
