Tony Khan Says Skydance CEO David Ellison Has Been ‘Very Excited & Positive’ About AEW

David Ellison is excited about AEW, per Tony Khan.

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan hosted the 2026 WrestleDream media call on October 15th. At the start of the call, Khan stated that he’s been in discussions with Skydance since the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery was completed.

He added that he’s been in discussions with Skydance CEO David Ellison, adding that Channing Dungey, Chairperson of Warner Bros. Television, has been a big advocate.

Khan stated that Ellison has been ‘very excited and positive’ about AEW, and he believes in the company. Khan said Dungey and J.B. Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games for Warner Bros. Discovery, staying on board post-merger is great news for AEW.
