The opponent for Jake Paul has been announced.
MVP Boxing announced that Jake Paul will face Cedric Doumbé on December 24 at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
This will be Paul’s first fight since he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua in December 2025. This is Doumbe’s first boxing bout since April 2015. He is 1-0 in his boxing career. He made his name in kickboxing, where he racked up a 63-7-1 record. He then moved to MMA, where he went 6-1.
He has not fought since May 2024.
A broadcaster for the fight has yet to be announced.
“Cedric … was calling me out two years ago after knocking a guy out in nine seconds. Well, now you get your chance,” Paul said in a statement. “I’m rusty, my jaw isn’t quite right and I don’t have kickboxing world titles like you do. But this isn’t kickboxing, mon ami. This is boxing. Just like (Ukraine’s) Oleksandr Usyk feasted on Rico Verhoeven, I’m going to eat you for dinner in Dubai on Christmas Eve.”
Fightful will provide more details on the fight when they are known.
