Swerve Strickland names Jon Moxley drowning Darby Allin as the moment were AEW went ‘a little too far’ with a spot.
Over the years, Swerve has been part of some of the biggest hardcore moments in All Elite Wrestling, particularly when it comes to his rivalry with Hangman Page, competing in a Texas Deathmatch as well as a Lights Out Steel Cage against one another which both featured many brutal spots, including the usage of cinder blocks, syringes and more.
While speaking to Sportskeeda in a new interview, Swerve Strickland was asked about a moment where AEW went a ‘little too far,’ with Swerve pointing to a spot where Jon Moxley would attempt to drown Darby Allin during a bout between the two.
“Darby getting drowned. I was like ‘oh we’re here.’ Okay.”
Swerve would also answer the question of the craziest AEW star, naming Darby Allin in his answer.
“Darby. Darby. Darby. He runs the board completely. Because I’ve been to Darby’s house, you know. And it’s literally the same thing.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Swerve named several AEW names he expects to become AEW World Champion one day, also mentioning how his go to answer used to be PAC. You can read more about that here.
