Bobby Roode Says He's Taking Time Off, Hideo Itami Isn't On His Level

Bobby Roode continued his NXT Title reign Saturday night, and now looks for some time off.

Roode walked out of NXT Takeover: Chicago still champion after defeating Hideo Itami. When speaking after the match, Roode didn't exactly have kind words for his foe.

"Are you surprised this happened tonight?," Roode asked. "Hideo Itami is a guy who has been under contract with NXT for quite a while, but I didn't even realize he was still around. He wants to walk back in and challenge me -- the greatest NXT Champion of all-time? Sure, he earned it. Let's face it, Hideo Itami isn't in my league."

Roode followed

"It's whatever I decide, and whoever I want. I'm going to lay by my pool, put my feet up, put my title beside me and enjoy some time off. When I feel like coming back, I'll decide who that's gonna be. My NXT will continue to be glorious," said Roode.
