Four Burning Questions Heading Into Monday Night Raw

The road to Wrestlemania continues as WWE Monday Night Raw takes place from the sold-out Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. We are six days away from the 'Showcase of the Immortals' and it should be a red hot show this evening.

Announced for the show is Universal champion Bill Goldberg and his opponent at Wrestlemania, Brock Lesnar alongside his advocate Paul Heyman. WWE is teasing appearance from The Undertaker who is expected to be on the show.

There are plenty of questions heading into the last Raw before Wrestlemania, but these are the four biggest ones:

  1. Does Goldberg exact revenge on Brock Lesnar? The last time Goldberg appeared on Raw was the day after Fast Lane when he got an F5 from Lesnar. That was the only time since the program started in November in which Lesnar came out on top of a segment. Best bet would be to have a contract signing of the main event at Wrestlemania. Regardless of what happens between the two this evening, it is imperative Goldberg and Lesnar don’t touch. A talking segment by Paul Heyman to build the anticipation more and get the fan interest at its peak heading into Sunday would be the route to go.
  1. Will Seth Rollins show up? Last week’s show had Triple H challenging Rollins to come on tonight’s show to sign a “hold harmless” waiver for them to have an unsanctioned match at Wrestlemania. By the way this angle has gone down, the match is happening, but will be limited due to Rollins’ knee injury. With what they have had to work with, this program’s gone as well as it could. But this also begs the question, why couldn’t WWE do the same type of thing for Daniel Bryan against The Miz?
  1. What can we expect from Roman Reigns and The Undertaker? The new “big dog” came up on top last week, spearing the WWE legend after giving Braun Strowman, the chokeslam. You can tell The Undertaker is struggling due to a nagging hip injury but has been able to tough out and do his best. The subtle heel mannerisms by Reigns have put the program over the top. Hopefully, we continue to see that from Reigns even after this program ends. As what we said regarding Goldberg and Lesnar, a confrontation would be the path to go down. Each guy has gotten over on each other. What else can they do to make people more interested than they already are?
  1. Will a new General Manager be revealed? On last week’s show, commissioner Stephanie McMahon fired Mick Foley. With six days until the biggest wrestling event of the year, Raw doesn’t have a GM. WWE.com posted an article listing the possibilities of who it could. The obvious choice and the likely choice is Kurt Angle who is the headliner for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame. While the announcement of the new GM probably won’t be until next week’s show which will be the highest rated Raw of the year, hints of his (or her) identity should be given this evening.
