Jeff Jarrett wants the late Chyna into the WWE Hall of Fame, but that decision begins and ends with one man, Vince McMahon.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Jarrett was in favor of the trailblazing Chyna, who worked with Jarrett in an intergender feud that saw Chyna defeat Jarrett for the Intercontinental Championship as Jarrett was leaving the company for WCW in 1999.
"The Hall of Fame is subjective and the buck stops with one man like every other decision in that organization," Jarrett said. "It’s Vince’s opinion. Everyone can have an opinion, its truly worthless when it comes to the Hall of Fame. If Vince wants them in, they’re in and if out, they’re out. When you talk about importance of being ground-breaking, Chyna certainly was so unique and instrumental - she was one of those characters that defined the Attitude Era, so the simple answer is absolutely."
Chyna's win over Jarrett in late 1999 made her the first, and only, woman to win the Intercontinental title. She was one of the focal members of not just D-Generation X, but WWE's Attitude Era in general, breaking several gender barriers in professional wrestling as she often had matches and storylines with major male pro wrestling stars such as Jarrett, Triple H, Mick Foley and Chris Jericho.
Chyna passed away in 2016 due to a drug overdose and talks of her being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame had continued circulating, but Triple H, who has had a past relationship with her, has been non-committal when speaking about her possible induction.
