A welterweight division affair has been added to UFC Fight Night 104 that will pit Alex Morono against Sheldon Westcott.
Morono (14-3-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, earning victories over the duo of Kyle Noke and James Moontasri. Morono is also a former Legacy Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion, he defeated Derrick Krantz to win the belt at Legacy FC 49, he would relinquish the title upon signing with the UFC. Morono will be entering the fight on an eight fight winning streak, a winning streak that has lasted over two years.
Westcott (9-2-1) has won just one of three fights under the UFC banner, defeating Edgar Garcia, while suffering defeats to Pawel Pawlak and Elias Theodorou. Westcott made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Nations, losing to the aforementioned Elias Theodorou in the finals. Westcott hasn’t seen any of his fights go to the judge’s scorecards in nearly four years, his last fight to go the distance was a win over Nic Herron-Webb at an Aggression MMA event in March of 2013.
UFC Fight Night 104 takes place on Saturday, February 4 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Chan Sung Jung and Dennis Bermudez headlining.
