Mackenzie Dern speaks on possibly transitioning to a career in professional wrestling following the conclusion of her MMA career.
The fighter, who is currently the UFC Strawweight Champion, is currently riding a four fight win streak in the UFC, and is a jiu-jitsu specialist. Like other MMA fighters in the past, the idea of professional wrestling is one that Dern is considering later on in her combat sports career, possibly after her retirement from fighting.
While speaking to US Magazine in a new interview, Mackenzie Dern would speak about potentially stepping into the ring in the future, noting that ‘it’d be fun’ and that she’d be able to once she retires from MMA.
“Oh yeah, that’d be fun. So much fun, I mean, the Bella [Twins]. It’s so cool. I’d be able to once I retire.”
Dern would also speak about potentially fighting one of women’s MMA’s biggest stars in Ronda Rousey, noting that while Ronda is bigger than her, it would still be amazing to have an exhibition match with the former UFC Bantamweight Champion.
“Ronda Rousey is a lot bigger, but it would have been amazing to do like an exhibition match with her.”
