Alex Volkanovski vs Brian Ortega Off UFC 260 Due To COVID-19

Alex Volkanovski vs. Brian Ortega will no longer serve as the co-main event for UFC 260: Miocic vs. Ngannou 2 due to COVID-19 protocols.

UFC commentator Brendan Fitzgerald announced the fight will be rescheduled for a later date. Volkanovski will be unable to compete due to some sort of complications with the promotion's COVID-19 protocols.

Volkanovski (22-1) is coming off consecutive UFC featherweight title wins over "Blessed" Max Holloway. "The Great" is undefeated in his UFC career and is on an 18-fight winning streak dating back to December 2013. Ortega (15-1) bounced back from his TKO loss to Max Holloway with an impressive unanimous decision win over "Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung late last year.
