Alleged Victim Says Conor McGregor Tricked Him With A Handshake

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor was arrested earlier this week for allegedly grabbing a cell phone out of Ahmed Abdirzak’s hands before stomping on it multiple times and then leaving with said phone.

Abdirzak says that before the incident took place, which happened outside of the LIV nightclub, a handshake was used to trick him and obtain the phone.

“He came to shake my hand, and as soon as he came to shake my hand, he pulled me in and grabbed my phone and started smashing it,” Abdirzak said to TMZ Sports (via Steven Marrocco of MMA Junkie). “All these security guards literally surrounded me and pushed me out of the way. And he’s stomping on it. He was a lot rude. He was like, ‘Get the (expletive) out of my face. Move.’ And I was like, ‘Yo, sir can I have my phone back?’ And (security guards said), ‘Move, man. Conor said what Conor said.'”

McGregor has since been released after posting bond and was seen jogging a short time after leaving jail.

Abdirzak says the most valuable item lost during the incident was pictures of his child.

“I’ve got pictures of my son I’ll probably never get again,” he said.

The UFC star is due back in court on Wednesday, April 10 for arraignment.
