Bellator MMA recently signed Ana Julaton to a multiple fight contract and the newly signed fighter already has an opponent she would like to fight.
That opponent is Heather Hardy and Julaton not only wants a fight with her, but she wants an entire trilogy.
“I think it’s something where we’re both recognizable for combat sports fans,” Julaton said to MMA Fighting. “With Bellator having a platform for American fighters, I mean c’mon. Let’s go and do something. Let’s promote, let’s get paid. Let’s make this a trilogy. This business is unforgiving. Your successes and your demise, a lot of it also depends on what kind of division you’re in. Things are alive right now, there’s an opening for 125, especially with Bellator having that title fight.”
Hardy hasn’t competed since her professional MMA debut at Bellator 180, but she is scheduled to fight at Bellator 185 this October.
One huge reason that Julaton covets a fight with Hardy is that she believes the two would put on quite the show for the fans.
“For sure, 100 percent,” Julaton said. “She got some titles in boxing, I’ve won some world titles in boxing and I think a lot of people would like to see some knockouts, so you put us in the cage. At the end of it, I feel like I’ll get there first. We won’t know until the fight actually happens. We need to get this going.”
Even though she has called out Hardy for a fight, the longtime boxing star has yet to issue a response of any kind.
