Anthony Johnson Unhappy With 'Poor' Performance at Bellator 258
File Anthony Johnson under the list of people (non-existent) who weren't happy with knocking someone out cold during their Bellator MMA debut.
'Rumble' faced a bit of adversity during the first-round of his Bellator debut against Jose Augusto as he was knocked to the canvas. It was a moment of worry that Johnson was able to survive and rallied with a second-round knockout of his Brazilian opponent.
“I'm pissed,” Johnson told MMA Junkie. “He hit me. I don’t mind getting hit, but I got hit and I dropped. I mean, what the hell? That ain’t me. That was a piss-poor performance on my part. I’m better than that. I know I’m better than that. You guys know I’m better than that. I’m not going to call it a lucky shot – he hit me. He caught me slipping. He got in on me. That was all on me and I’m pissed at myself that he hit me. I’m getting mad at myself. That was a dumbass performance."

Sergio Pettis Says Move From UFC to Bellator Allowed Him To Thrive
New Bellator bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis is loving his new MMA home.
The former UFC contender touted his move from the promotion over to Bellator is the main reason he's been allowed to thrive over the past year.
"I’ve worked hard for this moment,” Pettis told MMA Junkie. “I was training for a fight in February. It got pushed back until May, so it just gave me that much more time to prepare and believe in myself. I showed that tonight. It just came together.”
Michael Page Wants Title Shot Following Bellator 258 Victory
Bellator welterweight contender Michael 'Venom' Page doesn't seem to care about the naysayers and wants a title shot following his masterful TKO victory against Derek Anderson at Bellator 258.
“(It’s) because of how I do things with ease, I think now (Anderson has) just become a ‘can’ but not because he’s not an amazing fighter, not because he’s not a tough fighter, not because he’s not a great MMA fighter. It’s because of how I make people look when I’m in there,” Page said during his post-fight press conference. “I’ve kind of accepted that, but I’m just on a mission for one person – and that’s Douglas Lima.”
