Antonio Silva’s First Post-UFC Bout Is Set

MMA

It's not been long since the UFC and Antonio Silva have parted ways, but “Bigfoot” will be competing in his first post-UFC fight against the undefeated Ivan Shtyrkov at a Titov Boxing Promotions event. Despite the company's name, the fight will be an MMA bout.

Silva (19-10-1) has only won just one of his last eight fights, with the lone win coming over Soa Palelei at UFC 190 in August 2015. The last six losses that Silva has suffered all came by way of KO/TKO. In fact, it has been over seven years since the fighter lost by a method other than KO/TKO. Silva is also a former Elite XC Heavyweight Champion, but never got to defend the belt because the promotion closed down shortly after.

Shtyrkov (4-0-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career in Titov Boxing Promotions and none of his fights have gone past the opening round. Shtyrkov already holds a win over one UFC veteran, as he defeated Jeff Monson by submission in May of this year in a controversial bout where Monson claims he was told it would be a work, due to injury. The longest fight of Shtyrkov’s career occurred in November 2015, it took him just 1:37 to submit Vitaly Oparin.

Titov Boxing Promotions: Shtyrkov vs. Silva is happening on November 18th from a location TBA in Ekaterinburg, Russia with Ivan Shtyrkov and Antonio Silva headlining.
