Arjan Bhullar returns to the Octagon in a few months to battle Adam Wieczorek at UFC On Fox 29.
Unlike his first appearance with the UFC at UFC 215, an elated Bhullar will get the chance to walk down to the Octagon while wearing a turban.
“As of right now, that is the plan, and we’ve got the green light for that,” Bhullar said backstage at UFC 220. “It’s going to be a very special moment for all Indians.”
Bhullar practices the Sikh faith and the turban is the tradition head attire for those in the faith.
Reebok may even help design the turban Bhullar wears to the Octagon, which the fighter believes is a great moment for Muslims all over the world.
“That was a great product, a positive PR campaign, and it was something embraced worldwide,” he said. “Not just by the athletes, but by Muslims. For us, Indians, a turban would be huge. There’s no product like that out there.”
UFC On Fox 29 takes place on Saturday, April 14 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
