Bec Rawlings Shaves Head For Charity Benefitting Children's Cancer Research

MMA veteran Bec Rawlings has shaved her head in solidarity and to benefit a charity helping children battling cancer.

Rawlings who is a Bellator, Invicta, and UFC veteran as well as a former BKFC champion shared the news via a campaign on MyCause.com where she wrote the following statement detailing her father's recent battle with liver cancer has inspired her to raise some funds for medical research to help benefit families and children dealing with the deadly disease.

"I’m shaving my head, not only because it gets in my eyes at training but because my dad has recently been diagnosed with liver cancer & I thought what better way to create awareness & raise some funds for some great medical research facilities in Tasmania & Camp Quality that helps children & family’s affected by cancer, my hair will be coming off May 1st so dig deep & let’s raise some funds and say fuck you to cancer!" Rawlings wrote.

She then posted her new hairstyle in an Instagram post and shared the great news that her shaving her head has helped raise $3,735 for Camp Quality so far, you can still donate at the My Cause link shared above. Rawlings is 8-9 overall as a professional mixed martial artist and last competed at Bellator 240 in February 2020 where she defeated Elina Kallionidou via a unanimous decision.
