One-time Invicta Fighting Championships Featherweight Title challenger Colleen Schneider (10-7-0) has signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA.

Schneider hasn’t competed since fighting current Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Tonya Evinger for the gold at Invicta FC 17. She lost a unanimous decision.

Schneider is also a longtime veteran of the Super Fight League, where she won the SFL Women’s Bantamweight Title in 2014, but she will be dropping to flyweight in Bellator MMA. Schneider also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 18, the first season of the reality show to feature female fighters. She lost to Shayna Baszler in the fighter to enter the TUF house.

“All the fights I’ve done at 125, I’ve finished my opponents,” Schneider told MMAjunkie. “I’m decently tall for a 135-er, but I’m very tall for a 125-er, and I know how to use my reach well. I feel decently strong at 135 and super strong at 125. I think I’m going to be really hard to deal with. They have a bit more of that pomp and circumstance, in a good way. When you watch a fight, you’re at a big event and you’re pumped up for it. I think they’re really trying to build the women’s flyweight division and bring a belt to that division.”

Schneider is expected to make her promotional debut at Bellator 170, although an opponent hasn’t been named at this time.
