Claressa Shields Has Zero Interest In Competing On Jake Paul Boxing Event: "I'm A Real Boxer"

Three-division boxing champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, Claressa Shields, made it very clear she has no desire to ever compete on a Jake Paul-led boxing event.

Shields spoke with reporters during the official 2021 PFL Championship press conference on Wednesday and was asked if she would ever compete on an undercard of any card that featured the YouTuber turned professional boxer. She responded with the following saying it's not something she ever has intentions of doing.

"Don't ever disrespect me," Shields said. "I would never fight on the undercard of a Jake Paul. I’m a three-division world champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist in boxing. Before I get on an undercard of a guy that's having a circus show. No disrespect to Tyron Woodley, no disrespect to Jake Paul, but I’m a real boxer. I can beat up Jake Paul at the weight class I’m at right now. So no, I would never fight on an undercard of somebody who does not possess the skills or the accomplishments that I have.”

Shields is undefeated as a professional boxer currently sitting at 11-0 and now heads into her second professional mixed martial arts bout, where she will face Abigail Montes at the 2021 PFL Championship event on October 27. She won her promotional and professional debut back at PFL 4, defeating Brittney Elkin via a third-round TKO.
