Coach & Manager Downplay Paul Felder’s Retirement Talk

MMA

Paul Felder suffered a split decision loss to Dan Hooker in the main event of UFC Fight Night Auckland, which also served as the first main event appearances for both Felder and Hooker.

A defeated Felder would hint at a potential retirement after suffering the defeat, but his coach in Duke Roufus says that Felder?s not done with professional MMA.

?His retirement comments were in the moment,? Roufus told MMA Junkie?Paul?s not done.?

If Felder does decide to end his professional MMA career, it would leave the fighter with a final record of 17-5-0.

Brian Butler of Sucker Punch Entertainment, who serves at Felder?s manager, says that Felder isn?t done competing just yet.

?Paul will be back,? Butler said. ?He said it to me in the back. ? Emotions run high, but Paul knows he won that fight and is not hanging it up just yet.?

Felder and Hooker were both transported to a local hospital after their bout and Felder hasn?t issued any comments since hinting at retiring from professional MMA.
