Coach Says Jose Aldo Wants Out Of His UFC Contract

Stop me if you ever heard this one before, but former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo is an unhappy camper again.

Andre Pederneiras is the coach of Aldo and he is claiming that the former champion wants to get out of his current UFC contract as soon as possible.

“I’ve never heard him talk about stopping,” Pederneiras told SporTV“I think Aldo has been at it for a long time, in a very continuous time. I think Aldo could take a vacation and feel that motivation to return. I already talked to him, but he wants to end the UFC contract as soon as possible.”

Aldo was last seen competing in the main event of UFC 218, coming up short against UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway. Pederneiras even claims that Aldo can retire right now and never have to worry about anything ever again.

“He is a guy who has managed to make a lot of money over the course of his career and he can retire today without depending on anyone. He will never go hungry in his life. He invested his money, he knew how to save it,” says Pederneiras.

The former champion has only won just one of his last four under the UFC banner and that last win came over Frankie Edgar at UFC 200.
