Colby Covington Informs UFC Of His Decision To Retire
Colby Covington has reportedly retired.
On Monday, fans noticed that Covington was removed from the UFC roster on the official website and given the “Retired” designation.
Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports that Covington has informed UFC officials of his decision to retire.
If Covington remains retired, he finishes his career with a 17-5 record. He last fought in December 2024, losing to Joaquin Buckley by doctor stoppage. He lost three of his last four fights, dropping decisions to Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman while defeating Jorge Masvidal.
He won the interim UFC Welterweight Championship in June 2018 by defeating Rafael dos Anjos.
He headlined four pay-per-view events during his time in the company. He used Kurt Angle’s theme as his walk out music and promoted Donald Trump and MAGA as part of his gimmick.
