Colby Covington Talks Possible Pro Wrestling Run: “I Might Go To WWE, You’ll Never See Me In A Second-Tier Promotion Like AEW”

Colby Covington doesn't seem to have much interest in AEW.

The former interim UFC Welterweight Champion said as much when he spoke with the media following his unanimous decision defeat against current welterweight king Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC 268.

Covington has been known to enter the octagon using former WWE Champion Kurt Angle's infamous 'You Suck!' theme song, as he did last night, which warranted him being asked if he ever sees himself testing the waters in professional wrestling.

"I might go to WWE one day but you'll never see me in a second-tier promotion like AEW," claimed Covington.

Covington's former MMA camp, American Top Team, led by owner Dan Lambert and Covington's former 'best friend' Jorge Masvidal have been somewhat of a staple of AEW programming over the past few months being involved in a storyline with former WWE and AEW Champion Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle stablemates.
