Conor McGregor Claims UFC Contract Is ‘Essentially’ Void Due To No PPV, Will Negotiate New Deal Ahead Of White House Card

Conor McGregor may or may not be returning to the Octagon in 2026, but if he does, he claims it will be with a new contract.

Appearing on a gaming stream with his son and streamer Caylus, Conor said he’s warming up for the White House card and he was going to be at it. He then claimed that he’s set to negotiate a new contract with the promotion due to their deal with Paramount.

“I’m going into negotiations with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in February. I’m very interested to go. They’ve actually got a new deal with Paramount, it’s worth $7.7 billion. So the company has 4xed its profit, and my contract, essentially, is void right now because there’s no more PPV, whereas my contract was based on PPV sales. I’m the highest-generating PPV fighter of all time. The PPV system is done, I’m due a new contract. So, we’re going into negotiations in February, and I’m very interested to see how it goes,” he said.

Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021 when he suffered a broken lower tibia against Dustin Poirier. He was shceduled to fight Michael Chandler in June 2024, but had to pull out of the event due to injury.

The UFC White House event is scheduled for June.

In November 2024, McGregor was found civilly liable of sexual assault in a civil case brought forward by Nikita Hand. Hand alleged that McGregor and James Laurence sexually assaulted her in 2018.
