Conor McGregor’s Manager Denies Sexual Assault Allegations

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor was recently issued a fine for attacking a person at a pub in his native Ireland.

While that legal situation is now behind the fighter, other things such as multiple sexual assault allegations hang over McGregor’s head. Two women have accused the UFC star of sexual assault in recent months, but McGregor’s manager in Audie Attar denies the accusations levied against his fighter.

“He vehemently denies any allegation of sexual misconduct or any wrongdoing,” Attar said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (via Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie). “We vehemently deny it, and he does as well. At the end of the day we know who he is, he knows who he is, and we know what the truth is.”

No charges have been filed yet against McGregor, but investigations are still on going in both cases.

Attar also reveals that the former two division UFC champion’s return to action is expected to be announced in the near future.

“We’ve both agreed on a date and we’ve agreed on opponents,” Attar said. “A deal is imminent. I don’t see anything getting in the way barring some unforeseen circumstances. I think both parties want to get it done. I think it’s in the best in interest of everyone involved.”

McGregor hasn’t competed since UFC 229, where he suffered a fourth round submission loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
