"They gave us $600. I was like, 'What?!'" Lawrence said. "I can't believe how much money we spent at Whole Foods. We spent like $300 and I felt like we got half a cart full of shit."

Lawrence earned a unanimous decision win over Jose Johnson on the September 1 episode of DWCS. He was one of three fighters, along with Jimmy Flick and William Knight, to earn UFC contracts. Lawrence was also the only one of three fighters to earn a contract from White despite not finishing his fight.

Contender Series most recently aired on Tuesday, September 8. Click here to find out which fighters left the UFC Apex with a contract in hand.
