Highly touted Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor Craig Jones will take on undefeated MMA fight and ADCC gold medalist Gabi Garcia in an intergender grappling contest, according to an Instagram post from Jones who says he will retire if he loses to Garcia. The match will be streamed free according to Jones and will take place this Sunday, March 28.

“Sunday, flying into LA to fight Gabi Garcia,” Craig Jones said (h/t BJPenn.com). “We’ll do a no time limit match in her gym and we’ll stream that free, supposedly, yeah. 100-percent [it’s happening]. Hopefully [it goes] well for me (laughs). Otherwise, if I lose I’ll retire. If I lose to Gabi I’ll retire. Just no time limit, sub only. Obviously, a lot of people think it’s a joke, but just because of the interest we thought why not? Jump in. Flo Grappling wouldn’t touch it but we’ll stream it free.”

Brad Tavares vs. Omari Akhmedov targeted for UFC event in July

Middleweights Brad Tavares and Omari Akhmedov will square off at a yet-to-be-announced UFC event that is expected to be UFC 264 on July 10, first reported by MMAFighting's Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz. Tavares got back in the win column in his last outing, defeating Antonio Carlos Junior via a unanimous decision at UFC 257. Akhmedov is 4-1-1 since he returned to 185-pounds and most recently beat Tom Breese via a second-round submission due to an arm-triangle choke at UFC Fight Island 8.

Alex Oliveira meets Randy Brown at UFC 261 in April

Alex "Cowboy" Oliveira will get another chance at a matchup with Randy Brown at UFC 261 on April 24, first reported by MMA DNA's Marcel Dorff. The pair were originally set to meet at UFC Vegas 20 but Brown was forced to withdraw from the bout due to undisclosed reasons. Oliveira is 2-4 in his last six fights after dropping his latest Octagon appearance to Shavkat Rakhmonov via a second-round submission due to a guillotine choke at UFC 254. Brown is 2-1 in his last three fights and is coming off of a second-round knockout loss to Vicente Luque at UFC Vegas 5.

Zhalgas Zhumagulov vs. Jerome Rivera booked for UFC 264 in July

A fun flyweight scrap has been booked between Zhalgas Zhumagulov and Jerome Rivera on July 10 at UFC 264, first reported by MMA DNA. The promotion has yet to officially announce the matchup or the event. Zhumagulov is 0-2 in his UFC run so far, losing to Amir Albazi via a unanimous decision at UFC 257 in his last fight. Rivera on the other hand has lost three fights in a row and dropped his most recent Octagon outing, getting knocked out in just 26 seconds by Ode Osbourne at UFC Vegas 18.

Patricky Freire set to take on Peter Queally at Bellator 258 in May

Expect fireworks between lightweight Patricky Freire and Peter Queally as the pair is set to meet at Bellator 258 on May 7, first reported by MMAFighting's Guilherme Cruz. The two were originally set to face off in October 2020 but the event was cancelled due to COVID-19. Freire is 7-1 in his last eight fights, having his seven-fight win streak snapped via a unanimous decision loss to Tofiq Musayev in the Rizing Lightweight Grand Prix Final at Rizin 20. Queally a Conor McGregor teammate, is 1-1 during his time with Bellator so far and lost his last outing to Ryan Scope via a second-round TKO at Bellator 227.

Dwight Grant meets Stefan Sekulic at UFC 261 in April

Welterweights Dwight Grant and Stefan Sekulic are set to meet at UFC 261 on April 24, first reported by MMA DNA's Marcell Dorff. Grant is 3-2 during his current sting with the promotion and is coming off of a first-round knockout loss to Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 7, while Sekulic will try to rebound from his Octagon debut loss where he dropped a unanimous decision to Ramazan Emeev at UFC Fight Night 136 in September 2018.

Francisco Trinaldo makes 170 debut against Muslim Salikhov at UFC event in June

Franciso Trinaldo will move to 170-pounds and make his welterweight debut against Muslim Salikhov at a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on June 5, first reported by MMAFighting's Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz. Trinaldo a long-time fringe contender in the promotion's lightweight division is 4-1 in his last five fights, defeating Jai Herbert via a third-round TKO in his last outing at UFC Fight Island 3 and deciding to move up in weight after missing weight by five pounds against Herbert. Salikhov is on a four-fight winning streak currently and last beat Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos via a split-decision at UFC 251.
