Curtis Blaydes Has No Issues With A Potential Cormier vs. Lesnar Bout

Curtis Blaydes is back in action at UFC Fight Night Nashville, facing Justin Willis in the co-main event of the evening.

When it comes to a potential bout between UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, it is a super fight that Blaydes has no problems with.

?When it was first brought up last year at UFC 226 I was there, I saw the whole Brock going in the cage,? Blaydes said at the UFC Fight Night Nashville media day (via Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie). ?I saw that, I get it. They want to send ?DC? off with that big payday and he?s earned it. He?s been the face of the company for like the last four or five years. He?s fought Jon Jones, he?s fought Anthony Johnson and he?s fought some of the biggest names. He?s earned his. I have no problem with it.?

Lesnar and Cormier briefly got physical last year at UFC 226, but nothing much has come out of that encounter since.

Blaydes is ranked #4 in the UFC Heavyweight Division, meaning a bout against the winner of the potential super fight could be a reality for him down the line.

UFC Fight Night Nashville takes place tonight from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee with Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
