Dana White On Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier: "We Offered Them Both A Fight"

It seems UFC President Dana White, former two-division champion Conor McGregor and fan-favorite Dustin Poirier are finally on the same page.

McGregor and Poirier have both suffered negotiation woes with the UFC lately. McGregor leaked private direct messages with White, claiming the UFC President had lied about McGregor's unwillingness to fight. Poirier was expected to fight Tony Ferguson on the main card of UFC 254; however, "The Diamond" and UFC could not reach financial terms.

Poirier and McGregor instead turned their attention to one another, verbally agreeing to a non-UFC charity fight in Dublin. The logistics of such a fight would be difficult considering UFC's restrictive contracts. Fortunately for fans, White has now revealed the promotion offered both men the fight they seek.

“[Conor] called out Poirier for a fight with [Conor] in Dublin for charity. So we offered them both a fight," White told Barstool Sports. "We offered Dustin and Conor a fight, so we’re waiting to hear back from both of them.”

Poirier is seemingly on board, posting an ambiguous "I accept" on social media.
