Dana White: "I Don’t Have Any Expectations" For Nick Diaz Comeback

Nick Diaz is reportedly planning on making a comeback to the UFC early next year and UFC President Dana White isn’t holding his breath on that one.

White, who has heard multiple Diaz comeback rumors before, has no expectations whatsoever on the matter.

“Listen, the Nick Diaz thing,” White said after Contender Series Episode 32 (via Nolan King & Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie). “First of all, we would never have released that or done that. We’ll see how this thing plays out. I don’t have any expectations whatsoever. We’ll see what happens.”

Diaz hasn’t competed since UFC 183 in January of 2015, where he fought former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva to a no contest. The UFC President has said talks have taken place between the UFC and Diaz, but those talks have happened before.

“There’s been talking, but there’s been talking for years,” White said.

There is no exact time frame set yet for a Diaz return or whom that bout is going to be against.
