Dana White Hopes San Antonio Bar Shooter Isn’t A UFC Fighter

Two nights ago, an unidentified shooter shot eight people, five female and three male, outside of Rebar, which is a bar located in San Antonio, Texas.

The yet to be identified shooter claimed to be a UFC fighter before the crime took place, but UFC President Dana White hopes that it wasn’t a UFC fighter that committed the heinous act.

“If you don’t think that I heard about that one at 7 a.m. this morning. You know what I mean? I hope it’s not true,” White said at the UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo post-fight press conference (via MMA Junkie). “But I hear that all the time. You know how many bald guys in this town walk around and say they’re me. It’s mind boggling. If I told you some of these stories, you wouldn’t believe it. I’m hoping that is the case.”

Authorities have yet to apprehend the shooter, who started shooting at people after a bouncer at Rebar wouldn't let the shooter in after it was deemed the shooter was too drunk.

All eight victims of the shooting are expected to survive and are in stable condition as of this writing.
