Dana White Is Confident That Conor McGregor Will Fight This Summer

Dana White believes Conor McGregor will return this summer.

Speaking to Jim Rome, UFC President Dana White gave an update on McGregor’s potential in-cage return.

“I’m extremely confident it’ll happen this summer. There are a lot of great things going on behind-the-scenes that make me very confident that he will fight this summer,” said White.

Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021 when he suffered a broken lower tibia against Dustin Poirier. He was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler in June 2024, but had to pull out of the event due to injury.

In February, he tweeted and deleted, “I have been offered an opponent and a date and I accept. Waiting on my contract.” In October, he said fighting on the White House card was a “done deal.” He is not fighting on the White House card.

Fightful will continue to update fans on McGregor’s status as more is known.
