Dana White: Jon Jones Has "Got To Fight" Dominick Reyes "Again"

Dana White says a rematch against Dominick Reyes is the only option for Jon Jones, should the UFC light-heavyweight champion stay at 205.

Jones and the UFC have been very distant at the negotiating table; however, UFC president White recently told ESPN's Brett Okamoto the promotion has been in touch with Jones.

"We're actually waiting to hear back from Jon Jones right now," said White, per ESPN MMA.

In a separate interview, White told The Schmo that Jones has a number of options should he travel up to heavyweight. If Jones stays put, however, there is only one fight White has in mind for the 205-pound crown.

“It depends on what he does,” White said (h/t MMA Junkie). “Does he move up to heavyweight? If he stays at light heavyweight, he’s got to fight Reyes again. You have to see the Reyes fight again. And if he moves up to heavyweight, there’s a lot of interesting (matchups). He could fight (Daniel) Cormier, he could fight Stipe (Miocic) depending on who wins on Saturday (at UFC 252). He could fight Francis Ngannou. There are a lot of fun fights for him at heavyweight.”

Jones (26-1-0-1) last fought in February, defeating Reyes via a closely-contested and mildly controversial split decision.
