UFC President Dana White is currently at odds with the once retired and former UFC Welterweight Champion in Georges St. Pierre, but according to the UFC President, he is willing to give the man who declared himself a free agent some more money.
“I have a good relationship with Georges and yeah, obviously, we would love him to fight,” White said on the Chad Dukes vs. The World program. “The problem is, Georges has a deal. Georges is under contract with us right now. He has a deal. I’m not afraid to give Georges St-Pierre more money, but it’s got to be reasonable.”
GSP recently revealed in an interview that the day that he participated in the launch of the Mixed Martial Arts Athletes Association (MMAAA), his lawyer received a new offer from the UFC for his renegotiated contract. GSP has yet to say how much or how long the contract was for.
GSP hasn’t fought in over three years, his last fight prior to his retirement was a controversial decision win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in November 2013. The UFC Welterweight Title has changed hands three times since GSP retired three years ago, GSP held that belt for over five years by the time he retired.
