Dana White Says Brock Lesnar & Jon Jones Interested In Fighting Each Other

MMA

There have been a plethora of big fights in the two-plus decades that the UFC existed and if a trio of people have their way, another one could be on the horizon.

UFC President Dana White has stated that WWE Universal Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar wants to fight former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, who is also interested in a potential super fight.

“(Ngannou)’s a fine fight, absolutely,” White said to TMZ. “There’s a lot of options. Jon Jones is very interested in Brock Lesnar and Brock is very interested in Jon Jones.”

Both fighters will have to deal with some USADA related issues before the fight actually takes place, as Jones is still waiting to hear what his punishment is after a failed drug test in line with UFC 214, while Lensar still has to re-enter the testing pool before fighting again.

White also has to wait for Lesnar’s contract with the WWE to end, which the UFC President believes will happen later this summer.

“Brock’s WWE deal is up at the end of the summer I think and I know he wants to fight so I’m sure we’ll end up getting that figured out,” White said.

It has been quite awhile since either fighter has competed in the Octagon, with Lesnar’s last bout happening at UFC 200 and Jones last fight happening at UFC 214.
