Dana White Says Conor McGregor May Not Want To Wait For Khabib Nurmagomedov

UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is defending the gold against Tony Ferguson in the main event of UFC 249

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor could be next for Nurmagomedov, if Nurmagomedov does win at UFC 249, but UFC President Dana White says that McGregor may not wait for that potential bout to come together.

“Khabib, if he wins – but I don’t know if Conor wants to wait for him. We’ll see what happens,” White said to TMZ Sports (via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie). “Conor might not wait.”

Nurmagomedov and McGregor met for the first time at UFC 229, which Nurmagomedov won via fourth round submission.

McGregor and Nurmagomedov have a ton of hate for each other, which is something that White knows all to well.

“They hate each other,” White said. “If you think you’re going to do an interview with Khabib and he’s going to say great things about Conor McGregor, it’s never going to happen. If you interview Conor McGregor, he’s never going to say great things about Khabib. They hate each other.”

However, before Nurmagomedov versus McGregor II can take place, a victory over Ferguson at UFC 249 must happen first for the UFC Lightweight Champion.
