Dana White Says Everything With Khabib Nurmagomedov Is Good

UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov recently issued a statement saying that if Zubaira Tukhugov and Islam Makhachev were cut from the UFC for their role in the UFC 229 brawl, it would lead to Nurmagomedov leaving the promotion as well.

Dana White was the one who stated that both fighters would never compete in the UFC again and now he says that everything with the champion is good.

“We’re good. We’re good with Khabib,” White told TMZ. “You guys are still posting that (expletive). That was a week ago. That was a week ago. A lot happens in a week in this business.”

Tukhugov was pulled from a fight against Artem Lobov at UFC Fight Night Moncton, while Makhachev didn’t have a bout booked at the moment.

Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor are still awaiting punishment from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for the post-fight brawl, which is why White wants to wait to see what happens before moving forward with the champion.

“The fight just ended, and we’re still dealing with commission issues,” White said. “Now we’re working on other fights until we figure that one out.”

50 Cent also made an offer for Nurmagomedov to come over to Bellator MMA, but Bellator MMA President Scott Coker quickly shot that down.
