Dana White Says Gable Steveson Will ‘Eventually End Up’ In UFC

UFC’s President and CEO eyeing Steveson.

Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson was successful in his MMA debut for the Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion and scored a win in quick fashion. He would go on to make his pro boxing debut for the Dirty Boxing Championship promotion and defeated his opponent in 13 seconds.

Steveson’s success has caught the attention of UFC CEO Dana White. White guest appeared on The Jim Rome Show and said the following about Steveson:

“Yeah, it’s interesting. When somebody that’s a physical freak, an incredible athlete, and a guy who has competed at the highest level, and then they start transitioning into a combat sport like this, it’s very interesting. We’re definitely keeping our eye on him and we’ll see how this plays out.”

Following up on that, White was asked what Steveson needs to do before UFC gives him a shot. He stated that Steveson will ‘eventually end up’ in the company.

“Well, think about this, Brock Lesnar came over here from the WWE but he was such a strong wrestler, he was able to win the title. Now you got a guy like this with his wrestling background, who’s actually working his way up in the smaller leagues, getting some experience. You know, he’ll eventually end up here and we’ll find out what he’s capable of doing.”

UFC’s financials and fighter pay were spoken about during the Q3 2025 TKO Earnings call. To read those remarks, click here.
