Dana White Says He Hasn’t Spoken To Conor McGregor About Next Fight

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor hasn’t competed since defeating Donald Cerrone by first round TKO in the main event of UFC 246.

Many are wondering just when McGregor will return to action, but UFC President Dana White says he hasn’t spoken with McGregor about fighting again.

“Conor and I have not talked about fighting,” White said during an appearance on ESPN (via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie). “If you’re Conor and you’re sitting home – I mean everybody’s calling you out in every weight division. Who’s next? I’m waiting. Who’s going to call him out next? It’s crazy. You know Conor and his personality. He’s going to respond to you. Conor and I have not talked about a fight. I think what Conor needs to do is sit back, let a lot of these fights start rolling – and obviously the most important division, the (1)55-pound division – and see what plays out for him.”

McGregor and former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva have been talking about fighting each other through social media, but nothing has been made official at this time. White himself also recently revealed that McGregor won’t be next to challenge UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.
