Dana White: "Seven Production People" Pulled From UFC Vegas 7 For COVID-19 Precautions

This past weekend’s UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar card was hampered by both injuries and the novel coronavirus pandemic.

However, it was not just the fighters who were affected by the coronavirus, as the promotion sent home seven production people who came in contact with one positive COVID-19 test.

Unranked UFC Fighters to Watch out for in 2024

“Yeah, no, this was probably the – he was just asking about OSP – this has probably been the craziest week we’ve had since this whole thing started,” UFC President Dana White said after the event (via Zane Simon of Bloody Elbow). “And it wasn’t just—I have to commend the production team tonight. We lost, like, seven production people too. It’s been a crazy week for us, and everybody delivered. And these fighters keep stepping up, the production team stepped up tonight, these are crazy times. It’s insanity. And the matchmakers—the matchmakers are making fights the day of the weigh-ins. Crazy.”

Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports would take to Twitter to reveal that one production staff member tested positive for the coronavirus, while the rest were pulled for cautionary reasons:

There is no word yet on when the members of the production staff will resume their duties within the UFC.
