Dana White Says UFC Apex Will Host May 30 Card

MMA

It looks like the UFC will finally return to their home base in the form of the UFC Apex, as the promotion will apparently run their next event there.

UFC President Dana White would text the Las Vegas Review-Journal, telling them that the UFC’s return to the UFC Apex is “a go.”

If everything is a go like White suggests, it would mark the UFC’s official debut in the UFC Apex, as the location has previously held only Dana White’s Contender Series events.

There has been no official comment yet from the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC), which would oversee the card, as the commission has been shut down due to the coronavirus and hasn’t officially reopened as of this writing.

The promotion isn’t just expected to run the May 30 UFC card at the UFC Apex, but all future cards are expected to be split between the UFC Apex and “Fight Island.”

UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns takes place on Saturday, May 30 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
