Dana White Is "Working On Some Fun Stuff” For Conor McGregor, 2021 Return Possible

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor retired again from professional MMA competition a short time after UFC 250.

It looks like that retirement could be coming to an end next year, as UFC President Dana White says the promotion is working on some fun stuff for the former two division champion.

“We’re actually working on some fun stuff for Conor at the beginning of next year,” White said during an appearance on ESPN SportsCenter (via Damon Martin of MMA Fighting). “He should be back next year. I’m not saying he’s coming back to fight guaranteed, but we’re talking right now about some stuff.”

McGregor hasn’t competed since UFC 246 in January of 2020, defeating Donald Cerrone by first round TKO. The retired fighter has been battling some legal issues as of late, as McGregor was recently arrested in Corsica while being questioned for attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition. McGregor posted some concerning messages before saying that he’d never kill himself.
